Clear polycarbonate offers excellent visibility for general purpose use, gray tint reduces glare in outdoor environments, IR shade 5 windows are used in furnace and metal working applications (NOT FOR ELECTRIC ARC WELDING) whilst gold coated versions excel in reflecting radiant heat and absorbing harmfull Infrared radiation.
